tired

its been so long since i posted on our blog.. its been a really tiring and hectic two or three weeks. i never knew being an exchange student can be as hectic as a normal student. sigh.. i went to the rockies and it was really nice. i really loved that place so much. but it was so cold i think i wore about 4 sweaters. then i realised all my sweaters were too thin. i just bought a nice white thick jacket that will last me through winter. well they said last yeat by this time it started snowing. but not it hasnt. so its hotter compared to last year. i wanna see the place covered with snow. i know it will be nice even though it will be damn cold.. i have been pretty laxy to post up photos cause uploading it one by one takes up a lot of time. i just have so many things to do- quizes, mid term, projects... this sucks.. i wanna go on a holiday... i am bored of studying..

The Babies!

Day 11, mama mimi taking a break, while the little ones scramble around wildly without sights!

Day 10, Babies sleeping soundly on mama mimi's tummy.

Papa momo left alone in another cage. He's still able to enjoy a peanut or two.

Day 8, One of the babies learning how to crawl.

Day 9, One of the babies grabbing a bite of solid food.

Day 8, The little ones fighting to get a bite of mama mimi's nippi.

Day 5 night, when i came back from taiwan. A nest has been built around the little ones by mama mimi.

Yeah, finally mimi and momo made it to become mama mimi and papa momo. The sad thing is papa momo has to be separated while mama mimi brings up the babies until they are old enough to take care of themselves.

Also, initially mimi has given birth to 8 babies. 3 died...perhaps due to lower survivability. The rest of the babies are now growing strong! They look all alike and pinky during the first 5-7 days and started growing thin layer of fur on day 8. 5 of them, 2 are growing white fur, 2 are growing brown fur with diamond-shape pattern at the forehead and 1 of them is greyish brown.

It's already day 12, they're still like "blind mice" without sight. Hopefully they can see in a few days time, then i can separate the kids from the parent soon. They've been squeaking quite a bit these few days when they dont get fed by mama mimi. Mama mimi got to bear with the problem. Now i understand how parents suffer when the kids are small, haha. Until now, no one can tell their sex yet, but i guess it should be a good mix. Maybe someone can offer to help name them soon?

Lastly...Dear, hope u're enjoying ur trip to the Rocky. Love ya much. Come back and look at the babies k.
